Vancouver Quadra Facebook checkup

How many Facebook friends do you have? Two of Quadra’s younger candidates are winning the all-important Facebook popularity poll.

NDPer Rebecca Coad boasted 316 members in her ‘Elect Rebecca Coad’ group as of a count this weekend, followed closely by the Green’s ‘Elect Dan Grice’ group, with 310 members.

Liberal Joyce Murray came in a distant third, with 133 members in her ‘Joyce Murray for Liberal MP’ group.

Conservative Deborah Meredith’s ‘Elect Deborah Meredith’ group proved least popular, with only 56 members, trailing even John Turner’s ‘Neorhino-Vancouver-Quadra’ group (93 members) and its catchy slogan: “The Mother of All By-Erections has begun!”

Of course, it doesn’t help that Meredith’s group settings are set to ‘closed’, meaning membership is by invitation only. Presumably, whoever makes it to Ottawa will be a little more open.
