Hmmm...

That's unfortunate. If only this was for real.
Homelessness down in the states?
Statistics show a significant drop in homelessness in the United States, according to George W. Bush's homeless czar.
But maybe not in NYC, despite increased spending.
Atlanta, however, has noticed a change.
The shocking key to cutting homelessness? Could it be housing?
Praise God! And praise Bush, says this Kansas paper.
Not that it received enough coverage from the damn liberal media, this dude complains.
So why is there evidence there are more homeless families out there?
Because it all depends on who you're counting, says this guy.
Wow, blogging is way easier when someone else does the writing.
Robertson's out (of the Leg)
Gregor Robertson will step down from his seat as a provincial MLA to run for mayor of Vancouver, the candidate with the centre-left Vision Vancouver party said Thursday.
Robertson will resign as of July 15.
"I have decided that all of my energy must be focused on reaching out to all of the citizens of Vancouver," Robertson said in a short news release.
The founder of the juice company Happy Planet was picked as his party's leader in a nomination vote Sunday. He had been mulling over holding on to his MLA seat in the lead-up to November's election, noting there would likely be no fall sitting of the legislature.
Civic elections are November 15. In Vancouver, Robertson's main opponent will be Coun. Peter Ladner with the centre-right Non-Partisan Association.

What now? Gregor muses keeping MLA seat, Cadman debates a joint slate, Al a no show
Gregor Robertson won’t say if he’ll give up his provincial MLA seat before November’s elections.
“I’m going to think about it,” he offered up Sunday, hinting he might get away with being both a sitting MLA and a mayoral hopeful.
